Lolite, often known as "Water Sapphire" or "Vikings' Compass," is a gemstone with a captivating history and unique properties. It earned its nickname "Vikings' Compass" because the Vikings are believed to have used it as a navigation tool. Iolite's exceptional property allowed them to locate the sun's position even on cloudy days, aiding their maritime journeys. This gemstone has a broader historical presence and has been found in jewelry and artifacts from various ancient cultures, including the Greeks and Egyptians, where it was believed to bring clarity, insight, and protection to its wearers.
