Just like ourselves, crystals naturally come in all different shapes, sizes and colours, but can also be carved into different symbolic forms. The art of crystal carving is an ancient one that dates back to civilisations like the Mayans, Romans, Chinese and the Egyptians.
Just as each crystal has it's own unique properties, the shape or form of the crystal can also enhance it's inherent properties or even add new ones to the stone, which can enable us to utilise it in more or different ways.
As a child my mum would always say:
"Oh, she's away with the fairies!"
And it was the truth!
I was away with the fairies and honestly, it's the best place to be!
These enchanting creatures have captured the imaginations of people for centuries. Frolicking through the meadows and hiding in the trees, these magical beauties are known for their mischievous energy and they're deep-rooted connection to
mother nature. These beings are known to many cultures all around the world and each have their own unique interpretation of them. In Irish folklore, fairies are known as "the Good People" or "the Sidhe" and are believed to have their own hidden realm called
"Tír na nÓg."
To me personally, the fairy symbolises pure magic, wonder & whimsy. They are the guardians of nature and all her creatures. They embody femininity, exuding grace, intuition, and resilience. Lastly, fairies are a guiding light, shining through the darkness and helping you find your path always.
(Just to add to all this fairy magic, if you ever want to feel like a real-life fairy I recommend listening to anything Hozier or Florence + The Machine. I'm convinced these artists are fairies playing as humans!)
